Te Kahu Pairuri Hospice Taranaki is committed to delivering the highest standard of care and support to patients and families/whanau.

For Te Kahu Pairuri Hospice Taranaki, the concept of "Quality" means making the most of every opportunity to continuously improve the quality of services; being patient-focused; and responding effectively to patients needs with the aim of exceeding patient and family expectations.

Te Kahu Pairuri Hospice Taranaki is certified under the Health and Disability Services (Safety) Act 2001 under which Act are the mandatory NZS 8134:2008 Health and Disability Services Standards. Te Kahu Pairuri Hospice Taranaki is fully compliant with these standards.    

A final form of reviewing quality of care is via Self Review against the "Hospice New Zealand Standards for palliative Care." These standards provide a framework for quality improvement that is specific to the needs of palliative care providers. Te Kahu Pairuri Hospice Taranaki has undergone 2 Self Reviews with findings from the reviews being utilised in service planning in addition to quality improvement action plans.

Te Kahu Pairuri Hospice Taranaki's culture of quality is well embedded throughout all areas of the organisation.
