Registered Nurse 0.8 FTE

Registered Nurse (Hospice Palliative Care)

HOSPICE TARANAKI INC
Te Kahu Pairuri ki Taranaki
New Plymouth Central, Taranaki
Full time
PERMANENT 0.8 FTE RN

Inpatient and Community

Have you ever considered working at Hospice but thought it would be too depressing? Time to think again.

Te Kahu Pauriri Hospice Taranaki offers staff the unique privilege to walk alongside patients and their families on this final journey while providing care and support. We deliver high-quality, excellent palliative care for patients from Mōkau to Waverley and everywhere in between. Te Kahu Pauriri Hospice Taranaki provides care and support for those living with a life-limiting condition while caring for families, whānau, and friends as well, both before and after death.

Most people are cared for in their home. Our goal is to help people make the most of their lives, in ways that are important to THEM. This care may sometimes include the patient coming into the inpatient unit for symptom management care.

You will work within a supportive multi-disciplinary team, in a professional service making a real difference in the lives of patients and their families, and in an environment where the patient is truly the centre of care. You are part of a supportive and fun team where everyone is valued for their unique skills and experience. You do not need Palliative care experience (although that would be great) as we offer a comprehensive orientation package.

What’s in it for you?

  • Time to care for your patients
  • Making a real difference for the patient, family, and whānau
  • Work in an environment where the patient is truly the centre of care,
  • The opportunity to work in an inpatient unit as well as in the patient's home
  • You will be a part of a supportive and fun team where everyone is valued for their unique skills and experience
  • You do not need to have Palliative care experience
