COVID -19 ALERT LEVEL 2 Access provisions for designated visitors

Under Covid-9 level 2, we are required to restrict access to our inpatient facility in order to protect our patients and staff from possible infection. Please note the following provisions:

  • Weekends and public holidays visiting is only between 1pm and 5pm.
  • All visitors must be well and must report to reception on arrival.
  • We are expecting certain designated visitors who are nominated caregivers/ whanau of our inpatients;
  • There will be a maximum of TWO visitors per inpatient at any one time.
  • Patients may wish to have others visit during their stay but there must be only TWO visitors only with the patient at any time.
  • All designated visitors will be asked to sign in and provide personal contact details for contact tracing purposes. You will also be asked some screening questions to ensure you are not putting a patient or staff at risk of contracting Covid-19 and temperature checked.
  • Once signed in, you will be met by a member of the nursing team who will orientate you to the inpatient unit and explain where you are able to go during your visit.
  • Some of our communal areas are off limits under Level 2.
  • All visitors must follow specified hygiene guidelines while onsite. The nursing team will provide more information on this during the introduction to the unit. Our unit is cleaned thoroughly and frequently by staff and volunteers.
  • If you have any questions, please ask a nurse or reception staff.

Thank you for your commitment to keeping us all safe and COVID free.
