Please be patient, follow signage for signing in, maintain your 2m distance, MUST wear your face mask.  

HospiceShop Warehouse, 19 Borrell Ave

Open Wednesday 8th September 9am-3pm then Thursday, Friday and Saturday 9am-1pm. Monday - Saturday 9am-3pm.

Community care to patients

  • Community care teams of nurses and doctors will provide home visits, phone consultations and discussions prior to a visit.  

Support programmes and other activities

  • NO Day programmes, bereavement support programmes, wellness programmes and training on-site during this time.

Volunteers

  • No volunteers on-site during this time (including volunteer roles of; drivers, respite sitters, car washers, admin, flower ladies, gardeners and housekeeping) 

HospiceShops

  • All HospiceShops are closed at this time
  • No staff or volunteers are on-site at any of the HospiceShops

Hospice Taranaki palliative care services have now resumed normality from this morning. Te Rangimarie no longer has restrictions. However if you are feeling unwell please do not enter any of our premises.

QR posters are located at the entranceways of all HospiceShops, Warehouse and Te Rangimarie for everyone to use.

Day Programme will resume from Wednesday 24th February 2021  - currently we are only hosting the Day Programme on Wednesdays.

  • Te Rangimarie Hospice / In Patient Unit main entrance will be secured and only approved persons admitted.
  • Visitors to patients (limited), will be admitted after they have been temperature checked and completed our questionnaire around wellness.
  • Other visitors will be temperature checked and asked questions around wellness.
  • Outpatient visits will be managed in patients homes or alternative following consultation.
  • Case by case calls will be made for visitors to patients receiving end of life cares.
  • All staff working on this site are encouraged to be using accepted hygiene procedures, at least one metre distancing and are recommended to wear masks.  
  • The Family/Whanau Stay unit is closed.

Community care to patients

  • Community care teams will provide home visits. Phone discussions prior.  

Support programmes and other activities

  • Our day programmes, bereavement support programmes, wellness programmes and training on site for non-hospice staff will not be operating during this time.

Te Rangimarie Hospice / In Patient Unit

  • Te Rangimarie Hospice / In Patient Unit main entrance will be secured and only approved persons admitted.

  • General patient visiting Saturday and Sunday is between 1pm – 5pm.
  • Case by case calls will be made for visitors to patients receiving end of life cares.
  • All staff working on this site are encouraged to be using accepted hygiene procedures, at least one metre distancing and are recommended to wear masks.  
  • The Family/Whanau Stay unit is closed.

Community care to patients

  • Community care teams will provide home visits. Phone discussions prior.
  • Aged Care facilities in our region have advised they are not accepting admissions at this time. We will manage contact through telephone support and advice.
  • Our hospital care based team will determine when face to face visits are necessary and support this work via telephone or screen consultations.  

Support programmes and other activities

  • Our day programmes, bereavement support programmes, wellness programmes and training on site for non-hospice staff will not be operating during this time.

Volunteers

  • Te Rangimarie Hospice volunteers will be on site if they wish.

HospiceShops

  • All HospiceShops display signage related to entry including social distancing and hand sanitiser. Volunteers and staff are supplied with facemasks and hand sanitiser.

HospiceShop Warehouse
