Volunteers

Hospice Taranaki is very dependent on volunteer assistance and without it would find it almost impossible to provide palliative care free to the people of Taranaki.

There are always vacancies for willing volunteers with the time commitment flexible to meet the needs of both volunteers and hospice.

Volunteers can assist in any of the following roles:

• Housekeeping duties
• Providing transport
• Day stay programme assistance
• Gardening
• Respite care
• Counselling support
• Patient biographies
• Knitting

• Sorting and preparation of donated goods
• Cashiers
• Customer service
• Pick-ups and deliveries
